Sometimes I wish I was born in another era. Doesn't everyone?

The roaring 40's - 'Grease' lightnin' 50's - psychadelic 70's - electro 80's - grunge slacker 90's

But it's the 60's that I would want to be part of. 1969 to be exact. Woodstock, man on the moon, political bombshells, a sense of revolution...

This era has always fascinated me. I blame 'The Wonder Years'. I wanna run around naked, dropping acid, hitch-hiking cross country, listening to the best music ever, wearing flowers in my hair, whilst wearing some killer threads. True bohemia.

Maybe it wasn't always like that. Maybe film and tv exaggerate. But I wanna believe it was like that. Just like that.

1969. Long gone. And criminally, never part of it.

I have never been to New York City. But I know it's the city for me.

One of my favourite music videos is Ryan Adams "New York, New York". It's just him, his guitar, a beautiful song, and the world trade centre in the background.

I'll get there one day. And I'm sure it will be one of those "yep, now I can die" moments.
